We went for a four hour tour and saw tons of whales, lots of salmon and a couple porpoises. The crew is very knowledgeable and approachable, friendly and professional. The weather was good too. Good for expensive camera equipment and just the way the whales like it. Encourages their activity I think. Had been able to see whales in my job I had but never able to take pictures of the whales. We were lucky to see lots. CuriousTraveller17August 4, 2026Wonderful experience Had a great afternoon on the whale watching tour. The staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable about the sea life around Prince Rupert. We had a couple of excellent info sessions (thank you, Jasmine and Matt) during the four-hour tour, and it’s clear they all care deeply about the conservation of the whales and their habitat. We were very fortunate to see up to 10 humpbacks in Work Channel, as well as a sea lion and harbour seal. The scenery is unbelievably beautiful and unspoiled, almost worth the price of the tour all on its own. The large catamaran used for the tour is clean and spacious, with a licensed snack bar and washrooms - lots of areas for viewing. Would definitely book again.Posted on Tripadvisor

The Captain and co captain very personable and friendly and, went out of their way to make it special for my 9 year old nephew. Boat is very clean and well maintained. Snacks and drinks and drinks were on sale and good variety. We were on the tour that had the highest record thus tear. We saw over 10 humpback whales, porpoises, otters and sea lion. LeslieJuly 26, 2026A touching Wildlife adventure Guides were committed to making our experience special. Always there to answer questions and share knowledge when we approached them and their presentations were very informative and interesting. Boat was comfortable and the captain was very experienced - he was able to get us safely close to the young grizzly. We watched this young grizzly, eat sea grass, scratch its face and go for a swim to cool off - followed by a great shake of water! We also watched several male bears. Guides were helpful in spotting the wildlife - especially the sea wolf - what a treat to view! We appreciated guides asking all of us to follow a protocol while viewing and explaining why. I think all the crew care deeply for the wildlife. We also got to see Whales, seals, and eagles. My husband found the lunch provided tasty and filling. They offered good selection of beverages and snacks. As I have specific food sensitivities, I took my own lunch. The Grizzly Bear Adventure tour was well worth every penny !!! wildybeastJuly 19, 2026Bear Tours. Having just been on a tour, we checked in and were told that the previous days trip didn’t see any bears and we could, if we wish have a full refund. This was unbelievable considering the amount of money that would be returned without question That said we went on the trip, and whilst we only saw one bear, that was worth it. We also saw hump back whales and bald eagles. The staff kept us entertained throughout the trip and were very knowledgeable. They made every effort to ensure we could see what we did. On this trip was also people from the day before who had not seen a bear and this was given free which was unbelievably generous of the company, especially considering most bears will have moved in land by this time of the year for the salmon. It ended up being extra special, as we saw a group of feeding humpback whales on our way back to PR. Also, the crew shares the photos of the day through Dropbox. This trip was amazing from the beginning to the end. It far exceeded our expectations. The bears are very close. The captain let's you stay there long enough for everyone to get the pictures you want. They had a great surprise at the end. The crew were informative and all very nice. The captain was amazing with the boat driving. We saw whales both ways, seals, 8 Grizzlies, bald eagles, the meal was fantastic. This tour far exceeded any expectations by comfortable steady catamaran out to the protected Khutzeymateen bear sanctuary. Enroute, 4 well-informed tour guides explained the history of the various small communities In the sanctuary andwe saw 15 bears including a mother and 2 cubs.Fabulous country totally untouched and also saw humpback whales and many eagles. A very enjoyable lunch and drink were served and our tour lasted one hour longer than expected due to the abundance of wildlife. They take care of all the logistics so you just sit back, enjoy the spectacular views, and the bears and wildlife, of course. The boat is really specious and stable. Hubby and I did the Grizzly tour on Sunday, and it was everything and more! The trip is aboard a beautiful catamaran. It took about 1.5 hrs to get to the site, and then you continue inland to check many different sites the bears frequent. We saw 5 different bears, and quietly watched them as our captain kept the boat close enough to view, but at a respectful distance. The onboard crew, Caitlin and Matt, were so friendly, and full of info! Thanks guys! Also, the wraps for lunch were super delicious. This experience exceeded expectations The captain and crew on the boat were very knowledgeable and respectful of the sanctuary we were visiting. The captain navigated as closely as possible to the sightings and everyone had the opportunity to see and take pictures of the beautiful landscape and wildlife. He allowed us time to experience the beauty and wonderment of being so close to the bears. We were so fortunate to have experienced more than just the bears. Porpoise sighting, sea lions, eagles Humpback whales and of course the beautiful bears! I would strongly recommend taking this tour as words cannot properly express or convey what an amazing experience it was. You will feel amazed, awestruck and inspired by this incredible tour. The team will showcase special spectacular points of interest along with a variety of interesting information. Plenty of great seats available, lots of room on decks to enjoy the spectacular sights! Dress accordingly (layers) it can be cooler with the wind. Be prepared to take a boatload of pictures!!! Charge your batteries before the trip!!! (Note the staff also take awe inspiring photos each trip. Definitely avail yourself of those as well!!!) Remember to bring your favourite snacks (Not sure if it’s the fresh air or the excitement of the day but it induces a desire for snacks 😊) The vessel does have a variety of snack options available if you forget to bring along. The tide state was perfect for viewing the bears grazing on the shore line. It was a truly wonderful trip and we managed to see humpbacks on the way out and then on the way back too. Salimos del puerto de Price Rupert muy temprano, tras unas horas de agradable navegación llegamos a Khuzeymateen Ver osos está garantizado con esta agencia. Saben cómo hacerlo, llegan justo a la hora en que los grizzlis salen a comer en las pequeñas praderas cerca del agua. Vimos cuatro ejemplares distintos enmarcados entre una naturaleza virgen increíble. Además el avistamiento de águilas es otro puntazo. Mimmo CMay 28, 2026An Incredible Educational Experience Our Grade 8 class recently attended the Grizzly Bear Sanctuary with Northern Adventure Tours as part of a field trip, and the experience was absolutely first rate. The students thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the trip and came away with a much deeper appreciation for the area and the grizzly bear habitat. The hospitality provided by the staff was tremendous from start to finish. The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive to every need of the group, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. This was truly an incredible learning opportunity for our students, combining adventure, local knowledge, and wildlife education in a memorable way. The boat was comfortable and there was plenty of room to stand and see bubble net feeding from 3 humpbacks again and again. j rSeptember 10, 2025Lovely afternoon. Found the vessel very comfortable, easy to move about. Superb scenery and ride. Even without sunshine, it’s a lovely afternoon. First suggestion is more frequent updates as to location and route during the trip. I didn’t see the tip jar that was apparently somewhere near the concession (which I did not use). Was awkwardly able to find a guide when disembarking. Second suggestion is to have guides right at exit location to accept tips.Posted on Tripadvisor
Annemarie FSeptember 9, 2025A West Coast trip that fills your heart and soul. It is the second time I went on a Whale Watching trip from Prince Rupert with Captain Doug Davis from Adventure Tours. Both times I it was a wonderful experience. The first time we saw many whales by beautiful sunshine. My favorite part was when the captain stopped the engine and everyone on board stopped talking to listen to the whales breath and watching them dive. This time we drove further passing the light house on Green Island? and entering Work Channel. We saw Steller sea lions, birds and three whales. The boat was clean and comfortable, the crew friendly and knowledgeable with interesting commentary about the area, the wildlife and the weather was stunning! What more could you ask for?Generous sharing of the captain’s and crew’s photos of course!This meant we were able to be astounded at the bubble net feeding strategy of three humpback whales without trying to take a photo or video ourselves. We watched in awe as these creatures demonstrated learnt behaviour again and again. Once we were heading back to Prince Rupert, we were shown how to share the photos and save them on our phones. Yhe wait was definitely worth it.The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area as well. Got to see 4 amazing Humpbacks, one which had a calf. Staff were incredibly accommodating and kind, assisting us throughout. Aisles on the boat were wide and easily accessible and windows low enough to see everything from the chair. Tracy AAugust 23, 2025Amazing Whale Watching Tour We enjoyed an amazing afternoon with the crew of Prince Rupert Adventure Tours. They were very knowledgeable and shared interesting information. We were able to get fairly close to the majestic humpbacks without disturbing them. The pod surfaced multiple times while we watched and the captain shared tips on how to determine when the whales would surface. The crew also identified some of the whales by their markings. William LAugust 20, 2025Whale watching while on a Seabourn cruise. We took this tour while on a Seabourn cruise and it exceeded our expectations! Comfortable boat, friendly and knowledgeable crew and we saw whales! Captain deftly guided the boat to maximize our viewing, many birds, sea lions and humpbacks! We had a great time and saw lots of humpback whales, including a playful calf that appeared to be waving at us with its pectoral fin and an adult who spent a long time slapping the water with its tail! I especially enjoyed hearing about local history and learning about the local whales. It was really interesting to hear about the research that was being done. If I go again I will make sure to wear rubber boots, more waterproof rain gear and a toque! Even in August the wind and the rain eventually seeped in and made us cold, and it is definitely more fun being on deck when the whales are nearby!Posted on Tripadvisor

The boat was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and super knowledgeable. We saw humpbacks, stellar sea lions and porpoises and had an entertaining show of fin slaps and breaching put on by Wavelet the humpback who was spotted on our return trip to the dock. Jupiters SAugust 10, 2025An experience we will never forget. We took the tour of the grizzly sanctuary on July 26, 2025.Absolutely outstanding and astounding experience! The crew were highly knowledgeable and experienced professionals, who knew exactly what 100 of us wanted to see and made it happen, The boat was very clean and comfortable and even with that many people it never felt crowded. The bathrooms were clean and larger than we expected. We will never forget the experience of seeing one of these powerful animals close up, going about its normal routines, oblivious to 100 sets of eyes watching in mute and awed silence.The numerous close up whale, seal, sea lion and eagle sightings along the way were icing on the cake.Thank you Prince Rupert Adventure Tours! Seeing the BC coast from the water is breathtaking. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and respectful of the history and culture of the area. Bald eagles were also in abundance. Everything about the tour was exceptional, from the staff to the boat and of course the amazing wildlife and breathtaking scenery, even the provided lunch was great. While the boat was fairly full it did not feel crowded and allowed ample space to move around the various viewing areas. Staff members were very friendly and informative.
